The stages will be guided in at least two groups of different levels.
Each group will be led by an experienced guide. The groups will be accompanied by a support vehicle and a bike mechanic.
Our well organized refreshment stations will be another highlight of each stage.

Stage 1 | Girona – Olot
[The two most iconic climbs of Girona on the way up towards the Pyrenees]
Distance: 128,97 km, Elevation gain: 2.778 m+

The first stage will not be an easy ride. Quite the opposite: 2 major climbs with peaks at around 1000 m [Rocacorba and Mare de Deu del Mont] on a route that leads steadily up to the beautiful town of Olot.

Stage 2 | Olot – Banyuls sur Mer (FR)
[A lot of climbing including: Coll’Ares and Tour de Madeloc]
Distance: 131,39 km, Elevation gain: 3205 m+

Second stage is all about climbing. On the way up to the French border, participants will face the famous Coll d’Ares. The route then leads along the border on the most beautiful and tranquil cycling roads in this part of the Pyrenees. Before stopping in the French coastal town of Banyuls-sur-Mer, participants will climb the mitical Tour de Madeloc.

Stage 3 | Banyuls sur Mer [FR] – Port de la Selva
[Short and relaxing ride along the warm Mediterranean coast]
Distance: 33,62 km, Elevation gain: 487 m+

After 2 challenging stages, the third stage will be very short and easy. The participants will ride right along the coast to cross the border and reach Port de la Selva, which is located in the Spanish Cap de Creus National Park.

Stage 4 | Port de la Selva – Figueras
[All the highlights of Cap de Creus]
Distance: 94,95 km, Elevbation gain: 1588 m+

A complete “Tour de Cap de Creus”: right after the start of the stage, participants ride up to Sant Pere de Roses. After visiting the monastery, they descend to the other side of the park in order to continue to Cadaques and then continue on the unforgettable stretch that connects Port Lligat and the lighthouse of Cap de Creus. The finale of this stage takes place in Figueras, the city of Salvador Dali.

Stage 5 | Girona – Tossa de Mar
[LA GRAND FINALE – Costa Brava & Baix Empordà].
Distance: 120,13 km, Elevation gain: 1180 m+

The final stage takes participants along the Costa Brava and through the coastal towns of Sant Pere Pescador, L’Escala and Begur. After the stretch along the coast, the route heads towards Girona and through the amazing cycling paradise of the Baix Empordà region. The big highlight and “LA GRAND FINALE” will be the climb to Els Angels – the last climb before the end of the tour in Girona – where we will celebrate!

The stages will be guided in at least two level groups: fast and medium.
The first 2 stages are long and very demanding. The third stage is an easy ride along the coast, which will give participants a perfect opportunity to recover.
The route of this event is general demanding and it will be nearly impossible to cope comfortably with the challenge without prior preparation.
It should be noted that some basic technical skills will be essential – especially those related to descending and group riding.

During the stages the participants have the full support of our team of guides and vehicles.
The vehicle is provided with natural nutrition, electrolytes and water. In each stage we will be served a roadside lunch: a well prepared stop with a buffet that includes carbohydrates, proteins, fruits and drinks of different types.
Tossa Cycling’s guides are very experienced. Besides guiding the groups, they will keep them safe, motivated and animated. The guides speak the local language and know the region very well.
We have prepared an optimal selection of hotels for each of the nights. The comfortable 4* hotels will help participants to rest and prepare for the demanding stages.
Breakfast and nutrition for the trip are prepared especially for the cyclists.
Participants will start the day with a buffet breakfast at the hotel. On the way, they will enjoy an efficient meal served by the support team and will be kept fueled throughout the day with nutrition from the support vehicle.
Dinner will be served at local hotels and restaurants, depending on availability and needs.
