Quite the opposite: 2 major climbs with peaks at around 1 000 m [Rocacorba and Mare de Deu del Mont] on a route that leads steadil y up to the beautiful town of Olot.\nStage 1 - a big test right at the start.\n\n12/03/2024\n\n\nStage 2 | Olot - Banyuls sur Mer (FR)\n[A lot of climbing including: Coll'Ares and Tour de Madeloc]\nDistance: 131\,39 km\, Elevation gain: 3205 m+\n\n\n[sgpx gpx="/wp-content/uploads/gpx/VC 2024 __ Week 1 _ E2.gpx"]\n\n \;\n\nSecond stage is all about climb ing. On the way up to the French border\, participants will face the fam ous Coll d'Ares. The route then leads along the border on the most beaut iful and tranquil cycling roads in this part of the Pyrenees. Before sto pping in the French coastal town of Banyuls-sur-Mer\, participants will climb the mitical Tour de Madeloc.\nBreathtaking views and a lot of elev ation gain.\n\n13/03/2024\n\n\nStage 3 | Banyuls sur Mer [FR] - Port de la Selva\n[Short and relaxing ride along the warm Mediterranean coast]\n Distance: 33\,62 km\, Elevation gain: 487 m+\n\n\n[sgpx gpx="/wp-content /uploads/gpx/VC 2024 __ Week 1 _ E3.gpx"]\n\n \;\n\nAfter 2 challeng ing stages\, the third stage will be very short and easy. The participan ts will ride right along the coast to cross the border and reach Port de la Selva\, which is located in the Spanish Cap de Creus National Park.\ nActive recuperation along the beautiful coast.\n\n14/03/2024\n\n\nStage 4 | Port de la Selva – Figueras \n[All the highlights of Cap de Creu s]\nDistance: 94\,95 km\, Elevbation gain: 1588 m+\n\n\n[sgpx gpx="/wp-c ontent/uploads/gpx/VC 2024 __ Week 1 _ E4.gpx"]\n\n \;\n\nA complete "Tour de Cap de Creus": right after the start of the stage\, participan ts ride up to Sant Pere de Roses. After visiting the monastery\, they de scend to the other side of the park in order to continue to Cadaques and then continue on the unforgettable stretch that connects Port Lligat an d the lighthouse of Cap de Creus. The finale of this stage takes place i n Figueras\, the city of Salvador Dali.\nDeep dive into Cap de Creus.\n\ n15/03/2024\n\nDAY OFF | Figueras\n\n16/03/2024\n\n\nStage 5 | Girona - Tossa de Mar\n[LA GRAND FINALE - Costa Brava &\; Baix Empordà].\nDis tance: 120\,13 km\, Elevation gain: 1180 m+\n\n\n[sgpx gpx="/wp-content/ uploads/gpx/VC 2024 __ Week 1 _ E5.gpx"]\n\n \;\n\nThe final stage t akes participants along the Costa Brava and through the coastal towns of Sant Pere Pescador\, L'Escala and Begur. After the stretch along the co ast\, the route heads towards Girona and through the amazing cycling par adise of the Baix Empordà region. The big highlight and "LA GRAND FINAL E" will be the climb to Els Angels - the last climb before the end of th e tour in Girona - where we will celebrate!\nTHIS WILL BE LEGENDARY!!!\n The stages will be guided in at least two level groups: fast and medium. \n\nThe first 2 stages are long and very demanding. Besides guiding the groups\, th ey will keep them safe\, motivated and animated.
