Difficulty Legend
Our tours use a 1–5 difficulty scale. The color reflects the overall challenge based on
distance, elevation, ride intensity, and consecutive days.
-
1
Level 1 — Green | Beginner / Intro
For newer riders. Shorter stages, low elevation, relaxed pace. Basic bike handling is enough.
-
2
Level 2 — Blue | Easy / Recreational
For riders who cycle occasionally. Moderate distances, manageable climbs, comfortable pace with regular regrouping.
-
3
Level 3 — Yellow | Intermediate
For regular riders. Longer stages and sustained climbs. Comfortable riding several hours and riding in a group.
-
4
Level 4 — Red | Advanced
For strong, experienced riders. Big elevation, longer days, and higher intensity. Used to back-to-back demanding stages.
-
5
Level 5 — Black | Expert / Pro-level
For very fit, highly experienced riders. Long stages, serious climbing, and fast pace options.
Level 4 warning: Not recommended for casual riders. A solid endurance base and confidence riding in a group are strongly recommended.
Level 5 warning: Not suitable for beginners. A strong training base and excellent group-riding skills are required.
Good to know:
- Many tours offer pace groups (Fast / Medium). Difficulty describes the overall week, not racing.
- If a level is greyed out on a tour page, that level is not offered / not suitable for that tour.
